My name is Maria Chatziioannou, known on social media as Maria Rolls. I am a graduate of the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and a content creator.
At the same time, music has always been an important part of my life. I have performed as a vocalist in hard rock and metal bands, as well as in acoustic pop/rock groups.
Over the past two years, I have been creating comedic content through which I openly talk about the daily life of a person with quadriplegia, disability, accessibility, and social prejudices, using humor and self-deprecation as a means of expression.
Through my own experience, I have witnessed firsthand how significant a role technology can play in the communication, self-expression, and independence of a person with a disability.
