Ion Petropoulos

I’m Ion Petropoulos, a Greek software engineer, AI specialist, and technology founder with approximately six years of experience across applied AI, computer vision, mobile products, educational technology, and startup development. I hold a B.Sc. in Management Science and Technology from the Athens University of Economics and Business, specializing in Software Engineering and Data Science.

I’m currently a Founding Engineer at GamerPlug, where I contribute to product direction, technical development, and AI-enabled consumer software. My previous experience includes roles as a Senior AI Software Engineer, Computer Vision Engineer, and Head of Technology and Pedagogy.

I have also served as a technology mentor and have been a finalist in hackathons organized by Y Combinator, Andreessen Horowitz, Supabase, Cloudflare, and Antler. This experience enables me to evaluate projects across innovation, user value, technical execution, scalability, and product design.
