Dr. Maria Saridaki is a game and play studies researcher, educator, and playful facilitator who works as a Lecturer at Mediadesign University of Applied Sciences (mdh) in Berlin. Holding a PhD in playful interactions and digital games for users with developmental disabilities from the University of Athens and a MSc in Information Management from Strathclyde University, her work bridges creative facilitation with new media, aiming to research and support transformation through inclusive experiences.
Her work specifically supports creators of diverse backgrounds and abilities – including designers with developmental disabilities, artists, game and media designers, urban designers etc – using tailored processes and creative toolkits to foster self-expression, curiosity, and agency through play, research and connection.
