I am Effie Vasileiou, with 15 years of experience designing digital products and services across banking, aviation, telecommunications and complex enterprise environments. I currently work as a Senior UX Specialist at Alpha Bank, where I lead UX for the Business Banking Tribe, supporting multiple agile teams and contributing to the transformation of web and mobile banking experiences. My expertise includes UX strategy, user research and DesignOps.
Digital accessibility and inclusive design have been integral to my work throughout my career. I currently lead the shift towards an accessibility-by-design approach across all digital banking channels, coordinating accessibility initiatives and assessments and working closely with design, product and technology teams. My role involves translating WCAG standards and European Accessibility Act requirements into practical design and implementation guidance, while embedding accessibility throughout the banking customer journeys.
