I am an HR professional with an MBA and a multidisciplinary background spanning Special Education, Human Resources, accessibility and business. My professional journey has allowed me to work closely with people with diverse needs, develop a strong understanding of inclusion and accessibility, and later apply this people-centred perspective within corporate environments. Alongside my HR experience, I have been involved in accessibility-related initiatives within organisations, as well as recruitment, employee experience, organisational development and process improvement.
Currently, I work as an HR Manager, where I am responsible for developing HR processes and policies, recruitment and onboarding, employee lifecycle management, HR systems and supporting the organisation’s overall people strategy. My experience across both people-focused and business environments has strengthened my ability to identify real-world needs, structure challenges, challenge assumptions and translate ideas into practical and sustainable solutions.
As a mentor at Open Hackathon, I am particularly interested in supporting teams working on accessibility, business and entrepreneurship. I can bring a combination of accessibility awareness, people-centred thinking and business perspective, helping teams understand user and stakeholder needs, validate their problem and value proposition, assess feasibility and impact, prioritise their ideas and develop innovative solutions that can create meaningful real-world value.
