With over 20 years in cyber security, I’ve built my career on a belief most in the field don’t voice: IT is a form of art, and it should be treated like one. Not a metaphor — a way of working. This is ArtIT, and it’s what I am.

Across my career, I’ve been the person organizations turn to when cyber security stops being a technical problem and becomes a strategic one — mapping fragmented, sprawling landscapes into a single coherent vision, clearing the fog until engineers and executives can act on the same picture. I’ve designed conference sessions that taught technical teams to communicate like humans, not specs. I’ve written technical documentation that reads like a story a board member can follow, even when it spans multiple organizations and dozens of moving parts.

My strongest skill isn’t technical depth rather the ability to sit between analytical and impulsive people, technical and administrative leaders, and turn their differences into a shared plan. As a mentor, I bring that same lens: helping others find where their own “art” lives inside their discipline, and how to keep it visible even in the most technocratic rooms.
