Michalis Maras is Director of Business Application Consulting at QUALCO, with more than 20 years of experience across technology consulting, business analysis, financial services and IT governance. He leads a multidisciplinary consulting team responsible for translating complex business needs into technology solutions and supporting their delivery across international clients. His experience spans banking and financial services, solution and process design, requirements engineering, digital transformation, software implementation and validation, as well as information security, risk and IT governance.
Throughout his career, Michalis has worked at the intersection of business and technology, helping organisations turn business challenges into practical, implementable solutions. He brings a combination of analytical thinking, business understanding and delivery experience, and can support hackathon teams in defining and challenging their problem statement, shaping an MVP, identifying requirements and risks, validating whether a proposed solution addresses real user and business needs, and articulating its value to stakeholders. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and holds an MSc in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems from the London School of Economics (LSE).
